Each week, we’ll round up your favorite local vendors for our farmer’s market, where you’ll get the chance to buy fresh produce and amazing artisan products made by the vendors themselves. Sample a wide selection of local food, beer and wine or check out live demonstrations in our learning garden and the Kirkwood Culinary Kitchen.
Kids ages 12-17 are invited to participate in our Youth Market, where they’ll put their entrepreneurial skills to good use manning their own booth. Children and adults of all ages are invited to attend this FREE event!
We’ll feature a nonprofit organization at each event to show the community what they’re all about. Be sure to stop by their booth and give your support!

Russ Fagle and Erin DuFrane of New Bohemia district based Mixed Media Magic will lead you through a fun journey of different materials and techniques including paint, pens, collage, stamping and more to create a truly unique and individual piece of mixed media art. This project is focused on using reclaimed wood for a three dimensional message of inspiration. No special skills required! Our focus is demonstration and facilitating while helping YOU create your own piece- using our sample as a guide- instead of just copying what the instructor does. May 16 marks the end of “Bike to Work Week.” Come celebrate with us at our second annual Bike Swap & Ride!
Bring your bike gears, bikes, seats and more to sell/haggle/swap with others!
There will be an area for people to sell completed bikes that they want to get rid of/upgrade, and bike shops/vendors will be here peddling their wares, too. (Get it? Peddling? It’s a pun!). Individuals are also welcome to set up a table and sell their extra/leftover gear (or, you know… stuff that “has to be out of the garage by the end of the month).
The swap itself will run from 9am-12pm with a ride to Ely and back to follow. Register in advance for the ride to get event freebies. See you there!
I absolutely love walking around and seeing all the different vendors and I enjoy all the wonderful, delicious smells that fill the building, inside and out!
So awesome! Great job Cedar Rapids! Iowa City needs this.
Totally love this place. Well worth the drive from Wisconsin!
I was there and had an absolutely fantastic lunch: ‘What’s Up Doc’ carrot juice from Get Fresh, and a delicious “Adventure” salad from Greyhound Deli with greens, strawberries, goat cheese, sesame seeds and balsamic vinaigrette. YUM!
