Cars & Coffee @ NewBo City Market
Jul 5 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 am

NewBo City Market’s “Cars & Coffee” events are one-of-a-kind. Instead of a traditional car show where you’re required to register in advance (and even pay), we went a much more casual route.

Attendees of Cars & Coffee can register in advance to reserve a parking spot, but it’s not required. Additionally, it’s free. On top of that, anyone who brings a car to the event gets a free cup of coffee from Roasters Coffee House.

The make, model, and year of the cars that are allowed is flexible, but keep in mind that if you bring something that car fanatics wouldn’t consider “up to par” that you could be made fun of.

Jul 10 @ 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Each week, we’ll round up your favorite local vendors for our farmer’s market, where you’ll get the chance to buy fresh produce and amazing artisan products made by the vendors themselves. Sample a wide selection of local food, beer and wine or check out live demonstrations in our learning garden and the Kirkwood Culinary Kitchen.

Kids ages 12-17 are invited to participate in our Youth Market, where they’ll put their entrepreneurial skills to good use manning their own booth. Children and adults of all ages are invited to attend this FREE event!

We’ll feature a nonprofit organization at each event to show the community what they’re all about. Be sure to stop by their booth and give your support!

BBQ & Brew

NewBo City Market’s third annual BBQ & Brew event will be held on July 18, 2015. The event, a celebration of regionally produced barbeque dishes and craft beer, is among the Market’s largest events open to the public.

Producers of quality barbeque cuisine (in both American and international styles), local craft beer, and commercial beer from the region are invited to showcase their menus for an expected audience of at least 5,000 attendees, and to be judged by a team of local food critics.

  • I was there and had an absolutely fantastic lunch: ‘What’s Up Doc’ carrot juice from Get Fresh, and a delicious “Adventure” salad from Greyhound Deli with greens, strawberries, goat cheese, sesame seeds and balsamic vinaigrette. YUM!
